I had a dream we were all blind and dead already

Hang on to your ego

Somehow it doesn't register as pain

Artist Statement/Bio

Alexis Price is a proudly self-taught artist.  Although she received a BA in Dance from Meredith College in 2006, she has been painting ambitiously most of her life.  She began working with oils in 2008, which quickly became her primary medium.  Often melancholy, Alexis’ work explores how simple human emotions can be both exaggerated and simplified.   Inspired by the organic and biological, her work invites animals and humans to join forces.

A Philadelphia native, Alexis relocated to North Carolina in 1991, and has made Raleigh her cherished home since 1998.  She shows her work in galleries throughout the Raleigh area, designs art for local bands, and lends her skill to many local businesses.
